The twentieth chapter of Luke reveals the corruption in the hearts of the religious leaders. Jesus could have declared that He is the Son of God and King of Israel, but He didn’t. He only did what God told Him to do. Jesus proceeds to a parable about an owner of a vineyard.

Chapter 19 begins with an event found in no other gospel. Zacchaeus, was a rich tax collector. There was a miracle that was not missed by Zacchaeus, who immediately acknowledged Jesus as Lord and took the appropriate steps for repentance. Onlookers missed the spiritual interaction and complained that Jesus would stay with a sinful man, we look deeper into this

Jesus tells three parables related to how we can receive from God in Luke 18, then answers a question about receiving Heaven, and heals a blind man to confirm that these instructions are from God.

What is sin? Breaking God’s Law: the 10 Commandments. Missing the mark To wander from the path of uprightness with God All of the above?

God does not consider money to be “true riches” so we know it is the “very little” spoken of in these verses. If we are not faithful with little things, like unrighteous money, we will not receive “true riches.”

God loves and even values all of His children, the lost and those who are faithful. The Lord used three parables to explain why.

In the fourteenth chapter, Jesus shows us why some people become ineffective in their work for God and will lose their place in His kingdom.

The Holy Spirit arranged the 13th chapter of Luke to show us some reasons why we can feel like we have lost our connection to God.

Luke chapter twelve states that Jesus’ reputation had reached so far that He drew a crowd of thousands. The Lord chooses this time to tell His disciples what He expects of them, opening with a warning concerning the current religious leaders:

Have you ever been told that if you desire something of God, you need to be persistent in prayer and continue asking Him for what you want until you get it? Lets look at what the Word of God says.

Through this chapter, and with a bit of help from the last one, we see the dangers in focusing on the power and authority from Jesus .

This chapter recounts Jesus giving His disciples power and authority over all demons as they were sent out to prepare the way for Him. Did you know he didn't give them ALL authority?

Jesus delivers the parable of the sower. Let’s look at the events following the parable and connect them to the types of seeds.
