Discipleship For Volunteers
Disciple: a Learner, pupil
The disciples were so excited about Jesus' ministry, they joined Him in working for the Father. Through the Gospels we see that opportunities for learning developed while they worked together in ministry.
Sometimes we need to grow in God before we can begin working for Him. For this reason, those wishing to volunteer will undergo a season of intense discipleship before volunteering. You will meet with your group leader weekly or biweekly until you are ready to volunteer.
Mentoring: Receiving Meat from the WorD
But solid food is for the [spiritually] mature, whose senses are trained by practice to distinguish between what is morally good and what is evil. (Hebrews 5:14 AMP)
Get to know the elders in weekly mentoring group meetings. If an issue arises in your life, schedule a 1-on-1 with your mentor.
Appointments
Please schedule 1-on-1's with your group leader only!
